Quashing of FIR- Writ Jurisdiction Under Article 226 can be invoked if it is found to be an abuse of the process of law. It was also observed that inherent Power/Jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 and/or under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is designed to achieve the salutary purpose that criminal proceedings ought not to be permitted to degenerate into a weapon of harassment.
